Because the theatre can either die nicely and never be popular again.
Or the theatre can, happily and with enthusiasm, rush into all the extraordinary possibilities offered by 5G and the development of our virtual connections.
Altair chose the joy, the enthusiasm, the popularity: the 5G.
And it will be the first theatre built to be connected.
Altair is spread over two poles and five major links.
1 : the pole: ‘live performance show’: classical theatre.
2 – the pole: 5.G , ‘virtual’: production of motion capture, 3D, virtual reality.
Pole 1 : Theatre
To function fully, the theatre must have several rooms.
Indeed, there are several days when the scene is immobilized for the assembly of the show: so much of the shortfall.
In order not to have this disadvantage, it is necessary to establish a rotation on several different rooms.
It takes 3 for optimal use. 6 to be perfect.
A great hall. An experimental hall. A hall for small shapes. An outside hall. A hall for children. A hall for concerts – which do not have the same audience –

In the case of Dubai, we must absolutely add one for youth shows. It will be smaller, and better adapted to their size.
Since children are kings in the Emirates, this room will always be packed.
Thanks to this, there will be three different companies permanently hosted at the theater.
Pole 2 : 5G & virtuality
This pole will take care of the capture of the shows and the artists present on site to adapt it to the digital world.
From a technical point of view, it will be a room with the dimensions of the scene of Altair, in which one will find all the necessary equipment.
It’s no longer a technological challenge these days. Vicon creates every day a more powerful material in this field.
SolidAnim is interested to take care of this pole.
Then you have to exploit the data. Make accurate files – classify them – sell them – update them.
Finally, we must adapt to requests: Altair must be able to provide all requested movements.
There will begin the part: ‘XXI century production’ of the Altair project.
Link 1 : movements put in lines of code
The latest generation ‘motion capture’ captures all movements – including facial ones.
And is able to do this with several people ‘captured’ in the technical room.
This means that all the points of articulation are coded.
Therefore, Altair will have very quickly a monstrous library of movements, all possible variations imaginable and unimaginable – because artists perform unimaginable feats.

We will be able to sell these files to all gaming companies: independent companies and very large ones.
Link 2 : virtual shows
Here, we address all companies that will want to stand out from others.
The idea is: to place, inside the games, extracts of spectacles.
2 minutes of juggling.

1’20 mn of hip hop
And why not longer durations to animate their open worlds.
These shows will be modified according to the games. They will have the proper skills and will not seem stuck out of nowhere.

This theatre-ship will be able to present the shows broadcast on the Altair stage.
It will be able to present festivals and events.
Its goal – but it will first seduce gaming companies: to go from game to game, as a temporary guest.
This would allow online games to create special events and relaunch the players’ visit. – the principle of the event is already acquired for these games…

Link 3 : production
Because of this, Altair is a production company.
It can be a small production company.
But it can also become a major production company, reinvesting profits in production.
By creating Eagle, the twin.
By producing real and virtual shows.
By investing video games online.
Producing games that will focus on live shows.
By massively broadcasting productions via Altair’s twin.
This production company does not exist yet.
It will exist.
Link 4 : events
Online video games organize regular events to keep their players on their servers.
These events work because they are always renewed.
That’s what inspired us to imagine the series of events and festivals that will punctuate the life of Altair.
Annual events have become boring and are losing their audience because they are coming back too fast.
We will therefore largely space the return of each particular festival.
The events have several targets:
- The local public, national and international: they must be “brought” into the theatre.
- Video game and performing arts show professionals: they must have regular meeting times. We do not work together when we do not know each other.
- Players and Internet users: thanks to Altair’s twin, they will be present. Events will therefore necessarily have an immense scope.
These events, for the public and for professionals, will keep Altair in first place.
And this will ensure the theatre the financial viability it will need.
Link 5 : radiance.
To complete the mechanics, only the links with the youth and the creators are missing.
Imagine a High school of theatre in Dubai, and position it in the mechanics of Altair.
Imagine that all links to the Emirates shows are activated, that all companies associations and activities are invited. So Altair will always have young actors ready to meet the demands of gaming companies, while learning their craft and rubbing themselves with professionals and news technologies.
In the same way, encourage local creators to get in touch with us, to nest their creations in a larger whole: a sort of blockchain of the arts.
By operating all these levers, the Altair Theatre will quickly become one of the largest production companies of the 21st century.
And the bet will be successful –
because we cheated: it is not possible to lose it.
